Funeral services for Eileen Mohs were held Saturday, September 19, 1998 at 1 p.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. The Rev. T. M. Marks officiated. Marian Schutte was the organist. A VFW Auxiliary service was held Friday, September 18 at 7 p.m. at the Schutte Funeral Home of Postville.

Eileen Florence Mary Bertha (Kruse) Mohs, the daughter of LeRoy Henry and Eda Genz Kruse was born January 10, 1924, at Hardin in Clayton County near Luana, Iowa. She died at her home in Postville on Tuesday afternoon, September 15, 1998. She was 74.

She was baptized and confirmed in St. John Lutheran Church, Luana, Iowa. She was graduated from the Luana Consolidated School.

Eileen was married to Harold Eldo Mohs on February 27, 1946 in St. John Lutheran Church, Luana. They had six children. Eileen was employed by Dr. Kiesau's office for 20 years. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and was presently serving as secretary. She was a strong supporter of the organization, attending meetings and selling poppies.

Surviving are her five children, David Mohs of Scottsdale, Ariz; Dale (Deb) Mohs of St. Olaf, Mary (Greg) Braun of Harmony, Minn., Richard (Diane) Mohs of Ossian and Nancy (Bob) Radloff of Postville; seven grandchildren, Dustin and Dannon Mohs, Callie and Scott Braun, John Tieskoetter, Bobbie and Kristie Radloff; five brothers, Leo (Dorothy) Kruse of Minneapolis, Marvin (Lula) Kruse of Sarasota, Fla., Norman (Georgia) of Ames, Gene (Gretchen) Kruse of Nevada and Jim (Diane) Kruse of Postville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold who died October 21, 1997, a son, Dennis Mohs who died in infancy, her stepmother, Hattie and a brother Virgil Kruse.

Eileen was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church, Postville.

Casket bearers: Dustin Mohs, Darby Suckow, Dannon Mohs, Eric Armstrong, Scott Braun, Kent Kruse, Kirk Kruse, Bradley Kruse, John Tieskoetter.

Honorary casket bearers: Bobbie and Kristie Radloff, Callie Braun and Angie Duwe.
