Doris Margaret Spinner, 81, of New Albin died Thursday, June 8, 1995 at LaCrosse, WI.
She was born April 4, 1914 in New Albin to parents George and Frances Daily May. She attended LaCrosse State Teachers College and taught in the Brownsville, MN school system for 20 years. She married James Spinner in July of 1930.
She is survived by two daughters, Rita (Robert) Stattelman of Topeka, KS; June (F.Thomas) Pottratz of Indianapolis, IN; two sons, James T. (Kathy) Spinner of LaCrosse, WI and Robert G. (Janeen) Spinner of Topeka, KS; 23 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald May of Stoddard, WI; Gerald (Rita) May of Cedar Rapids; one sister Aileen (Al) Collins of Minneapolis, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Lorna Jean; a son Thomas; a grandson, Kert Hutchings; three brothers, Orville, Leon and Harold; and three sisters, Nita, Mona and Claire.
Funeral services were held held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, New Albin, with Fr. Henry Charipar officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bryan Pottratz, William Pottratz, Scott Pottratz, Bradley Spinner, Ralph A. Hertzfoldt and Steven Hutchings.
Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home, Lansing was in charge of arrangements.
