Dropped Dead

The sudden and unexpected death of Wm. Moellerman of this township took place about 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon and cast a pall of gloom over many homes in both town and country where he was well and favorably known. Deceased's heart had been troubling him for some months and physicians had for some months had advised him to refrain from work as much as possible. He had been to town for a load of lumber the day before and after dinner that day walked to the barn with his youngest child in his arms to let out a colt he was weaning. The animal, it is thought bothered him somewhat and unduly excited him and he dropped in the barn and when found shortly afterwards was breathing his last.
The young man was to the manor born in this township 34 years ago last June. He had been farming the old homestead since his father moved to town five or six years ago and by dint of industry and frugality had already become quite well to do. A wife and two children, besides father, three brothers and two sisters survive him.
The funeral Monday afternoon from the German Presbyterian church, Rev. Kegel the new pastor, officiating was very largely attended and testified to the worth and standing of deceased more forcibly than any words of ours.
