RAYMOND--Near Waukon, Iowa, Tuesday, April 25, 1893, after a short sickness, Christian Hall Raymond, aged 87 years and 28 days.
Christian Hall was born in Trumbull county, Ohio, March 27, 1806. She married John Raymond Jan 26, 1828. They moved to Pennsylvania afterward and lived in that state three years. They arrived in Waukon September 24, 1852 and settled on the farm two and one half miles west of Waukon, where Mr. Raymond died June 12, 1878. She was the mother of nine children, six of whom are still living. John P., Ebenezer B., B.P., and Hattie of Waukon, Wm. S. of Rockwell, Iowa, and D.B. Raymond of Boardman, Ohio. The greater portion of her life she was a member of the Presbyterian church. She was for a time a member of the Rossville church, but in 1857 became a member of C.P. church of Waukon, where the funeral services, largely attended, were held last Friday, conducted by the pastor Rev. R.L.VanNice.
