A prayer service for Eileen Huebner was held Monday evening, March 10, 2003, at 7 p.m. with the Rev. James Allison officiating. Joan Martins served as organist with Kim Schutte as soloist. A private Graveside Service was held on Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at the Postville Cemetery. The Schutte Funeral and Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements. Eileen V. Huebner, daughter of Urban and Leona (Meyer) Sadler, was born December 9, 1928 at New Albin, Iowa. She passed away early Saturday morning, March 8, in Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa at the age of 74 years, two months, and 29 days. She was baptized on February 3, 1929, by Rev. P.C. Kenith at New Albin, Iowa and confirmed on July 19, 1942 by Rev. Frederick R. Ludwig at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville, Iowa. Eileen moved to Postville with her family in 1940 and attended the Postville High School. On December 19, 1950, she was married to Eugene P. Huebner at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville. To the union one son was born. She was employed at several of the local businesses including the Palm Cafe and the Postville Locker. for 24 years she had been employed at the Good Samaritan Center in Postville in many different capacities. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband on March 17, 1995, a granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Huebner and a sister, Niara Harris. Surviving are her son, Dwayne Huebner and his wife, Janet, of Clermont, three grandchildren, Christopher and Aaron Anderson and Aleesa Huebner. Also surviving are two sisters, Delores Thoma and her husband Wesley of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Rose Ann Swartz and her husband Fred of Perry, MI. Eileen was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville.
