Last Rites For Julious Rissman

Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 26 for Julius F. Rissman, 77 of Waukon. The Rev. Leslie Leonard was the officiating minister in the Lansing Ridge Presbyterian Church. Interment was in Oakland cemetery. Harvey and Henry Rissman, Ray Mitchell, Ottenus Hanson, Emil Lippe and Walter Drahn were the pallbearers.

Mr. Rissman died Wednesday, Aug. 24 at his home in Waukon following an illness of several months. He was born Jan. 28, 1889 in Allamakee county and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Rissman.

January 6, 1926 he married Sophie Vieth who survives. They lived in Makee township until nine years ago when they moved to Waukon. His occupation was farming until his retirement.

Other survivors include a son, Herbert of Waukon and a daughter, Mrs. Willard (Wilma) Verthein of Waukon, 10 grandchildren and a brother Charles Rissman of Waukon. Martin Brothers were in charge of funeral arrangements.
