Louise McEwen, of Los Angeles, passed away November 2, 1952 at the Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital in Los Angeles, California
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. last Thursday at the Schutte Funeral Home. Rev. Walter T. Martin, pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church of Postville, officiated. Burial was in Postville cemetery.
Louise Beucher McEwen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Beucher, was born September 19, 1887, at Postville, Iowa. She spent the greater part of her early life in Postville, graduating from Postville high school in June 1905. She spent one year in school at Sinsinawa Mound in Dubuque and graduated from the State University of Iowa in June 1909. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi social sorority and for many years a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
In 1910 she was married to Lynn McEwen and one son, James, was born to this union.
Mr. McEwen passed away in 1921. In 1924 Mrs. McEwen moved to Denver, Colorado where she made her home for many years. In November of 1951 she moved to California to make her home with her son, James.
Surviving are her son James, of LaCrescenta, California, three brothers, Otto Beucher and Leo Beucher of Postville, Dr. Harry Beucher of Los Angeles, and one sister, Mrs. Helen Trunecek of Cedar Rapids.
