Cyril L. Mooney, 94, of New Albin, died Monday August 30, 2010 at Thornton Manor in Lansing.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Wexford. Monsignor Ed Lechtenberg will officiate at the service. Interment will be at the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the Thornburg-DeVries Funeral Home, Lansing. Cyril Lawrence Mooney was born February 20, 1916 at home in LaFayette Twsp, Allamakee County. He was the son of Eugene and Cecilia Kernan Mooney. On February 21, 1955 Cyril married Leona O’Neill at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Wexford. Cyril farmed and was a cattleman his entire life.
He is survived by his wife Leona of New Albin; two sons, Mike (Sheila) and Matt (Rita) both of New Albin and five grandchildren, Kala, Jacob, Kristina, Johnathon and Heather.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, JoAnne Mooney; four brothers, Gerald, Raymond, Vince and James and one sister, Mary Rita O’Regan.

Thursday September 2, 2010, 11:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Wexford
