The death of Russell Moline Sr. occurred at the Veteran's Memorial Hospital, on March 23, he having been in failing health for several months. Funeral services were held from Zion Reformed United Church of Christ on Saturday afternoon at 2 P.M. with interment in Oakland Cemetery.
Russell Moline was born in Delaware County on September 8, 1899. He had lived in Allamakee county most of his life, having moved to Waukon in 1959. He was educated in the local schools and attended Lenox College. He was a schoolteacher and farmer and was a Waukon policeman for a time.
He was married on June 20, 1931 to Myrtle Cayler at Lansing. Surviving are his wife and the following children. Russell Moline Jr., Lansing; Marjorie, Mrs. John Swanson, Pukawana S.D.; Evelyn, Mrs. Don Nold, Center Point; Roger Moline, Albuquerque; Richard Moline, Waterloo; Sharon, Mrs. Lester Smith, Marquette; Lt. Robert Moline, Vandenburg AFB, Calif.; and Sue Ann, Wayne, Nebraska.There are ten grandchildren. Also the following brothers and sisters; Victor Moline, Frederick, S.D.; Donald Moline and Mrs. George Copenhaver, Tucson, Arizona; Willis Moline, Waukon; Miss Elsie Moline and Mrs. Ernest Evans, Riverside, Calif.; and Mrs. Clarence Bruns, Waterloo.
Pallbearers were Theodore Rumph, Mulroy McDermott, Chet Barr, Claude Schafer, Eugene Wood and Harry Meyer.
Martin Bros.Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
