FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR BARBARA BECKER
Miss Barbara Becker passed away Thursday, May 11th at the Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse when she had been a patient the previous two weeks. She was born November 6th, 1874 at Lansing, a daughter of John P. Becker and Mary Hirt.
The funeral services were held from the Immaculate Conception Church on Saturday moring for this devoted Catholic lady with Father Thomas Schwinn the Mass of Rquiem. Burial was in the family lot in Gethsemane Cemetery with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Victor Hintgen saying the final prayers at the graveside. Honorary pallbearers from the Rosary Society of which she was a member since its organization were Mrs. Leo Hawes, Mrs. Elizabeth Plagge, Mrs. Carl Wagner, Mrs. William Troendle Sr, Mrs. Leonard Kelleher and Miss Veronica Fest. Active casket bearers were nephews, Joseph and Ally Becker, Garland Burroughs, Lansing; Henry Becker, New Albin; John Becker, Rock Island, Ill., Leo Riley, Minneapolis.
Among others from away from here for the funeral services were the Henry Becker family, New Albin; the John Becker family, Rock Island, Ill.; Mrs. Hermie Finn, Dubuque; Mrs. Margaret Fink and children, Patty and Joseph, Manchester; Miss Rose Riley, Minneapolis; Mrs. Quanrude and daughter; Mrs. Leo McCabe, Mrs. Vivian Zoll and daughter, Waukon.
