Cyril I. Dougherty of 603 Kingston Drive, Romeoville, Illinois, passed away December 6, 1973 at Silver Cross Hospital at the age of 72.
He was born June 17, 1901, in Makee township to John and Mary McCormick Dougherty. He was married to Alice Broderick. He is survived by the following children: Mrs. David (Donna) Turner of Romeoville; Mrs. George (Darlene) Tresnak of Streamwood, Ill.; and two sons, Gerald, of Schiller Park, Ill.; and Daniel of Burbank, Ill.
Fourteen grandchildren survive as do a sister, Mrs. Chas. Ronan of Rockford, Illinois, and five brothers, John and Emmett of Waukon, Iowa, William and Ray of Freeport, Illinois and Clem of Waterloo, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one sister, Marguerite, and three brothers, Joe, Leo and Donald.
Mr. Dougherty made his home with his daughter Donna since the death of his wife.
Funeral services were held on December 10 at 10 a.m. from St. Andrew's Church in Romeoville, with interment in Resurrection Cemetery. The Doughertys were residents of Fairview township in Allamakee county for many years.
