Gregory Thimmesch, 77, of New Albin died Thursday, March 18, from an apparent heart attack.
He was born February 15, 1899 at New Albin to Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Thimmesch. He was a retired farmer and sawmill worker. He married Olga Meiners on September 30, 1958 at Caledonia and they farmed near Freeburg, Minnesota.
Surviving are his widow, two sons, John of Johnson Creek, Wisonsin and Harold of Dubuque; one daughter, Mrs. E.E. (Helen) Balentine of Caledonia. Four grandchildren, two brothers, Henry of New Albin and Joseph of Burlington, and one sister, Mrs. Les (Gladys) Dresselhaus of New Albin. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Services were held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the New Albin chapel, Rev. Linus Rasing officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
