Mrs. Sophia L. Flage, 76, of Ludlow township passed away suddenly last Thursday at Melbourne, where she had been visiting for two weeks with her sisters, Mrs. Emma Brandt and Mrs. Etta Reader. Funeral services were held Sunday at Ludlow in the Salem church by the Rev. W. Buschman. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery. She was born November 29, 1863, in Jasper county. Her marriage to Fred Flage was solemnized May 27, 1885. She is survived by five sons, Fred, John, Ben and Elmer of Ludlow township and Clarence of Waukon. She is also survived by three sisters, mrs. Brandt and Mrs. Reader of Melbourne and Mrs. Minnie Osten of Laurel.
