Services for Michael J. Byrnes, 74, who died June 6 in a Valley hospital, were today. Byrnes was born in Waukon, Iowa, and moved to Mesa in 1977 from Fargo, N.D., where he was a sales representative for Kraft Inc.

He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion and Victory Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Lillian, and a sister.

The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association.
