Funeral services for Betsy Glynn, 83, of Waukon, were held at 1:30 p.m., from St. John's Lutheran Church, Waukon, with the Rev. Marlyn Hansing officiating. Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Lansing. Mrs Glynn died very suddenly at her home on Saturday, July 12.
She was born May 2, 1892 in Allamakee County to Halvor and Caroline Megorden Kolsrud. She was married on February 29, 1916, at Waterville. to Sam Glynn, who died in 1965. They lived in Waterville for many years where he was Railroad Station Agent, and where Mrs. Glynn also served in that capacity for a time, before the station was closed and they moved to Waukon.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Cletus (Coila) Huffman, Oelwein; and a son, Raymond Glynn of Marshalltown; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley of Waukon and Ben of Harpers Ferry.
