Rose E. Mulvehill, 96, of Heritage Manor, formerly of 790 Caledonia St., died at 12:50 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Nativity Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Garden Mausoleum at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. today at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where there will be the Nativity Parish Christian wake service at 4 p.m.

Mrs. Mulvehill was a bookkeeper for various business in Dubuque, before she began her career with Interstate Power Co. She was manager of the Interstate Power Co. Credit Union, until her retirement in 1972.

She was born on Dec. 21, 1906, in Waukon, Iowa, daughter of Philip and Margaret (Redding) Quillin. She married James Mulvehill on Sept. 9, 1933, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dubuque; he preceded her in death on July 3, 1981.

Rose was a graduate of Waukon High School and Wisconsin Business University in La Crosse.

She was a charter member of the Mercy Service Club and the St. Ann's Catholic Mothers Study Club. She also was a member of Nativity Parish and the Nativity Rosary Society.

Surviving are two sons, Mark (Patricia) Mulvehill and Dennis (Jan) Mulvehill, both of Hazel Green, Wis.; a daughter, Mary (Rich) Tomas, of Solon, Iowa; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Geraldine "Gerry" (Scoles Gherty) Quillin, of La Crosse.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Frank, John and Edward Quillin; and two sisters, Florence Burns and Sister Mary Constance Quillin, PVBM.

The family would like to thank the administration and staff of Heritage Manor for the wonderful care given to our mother.
