Reuben S. Stock 1913-1994

FOGT, STOCK, NAGEL, WHITTLE, BUSHMAN, WARNHOFF

Reuben S. Stock, son of Fred and Minnie (Fogt) Stock was born December 11, 1913 on his parent's Ludlow Township farm. He died November 24, 1994 at Good Samaritan Center in Waukon, Iowa. He was 80 years old.

He attended rural Ludlow #5 Elementary School and Waukon High School. On December 17, 1936 he married Luella Nagel at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. Reuben spent his working career as a dairy farmer on the family farm until moving to Waukon in 1976. When he was younger, he enjoyed fishing. Since moving to town he enjoyed going out for coffee and visiting with other people. He was a member of Zalmona Presbyterian Church. He was in the Good Samaritan Center for only one day.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Arthur Stock and Martin Stock and great grandson, Richy Bushman. He is survived by his wife, Luella Stock of Waukon; a son, Roger and Carol Stock, Waukon; a daughter, Beverly and Larry Whittle, Decorah; a sister, Viola and Roy Warnhoff of Waukon and four grandchildren, Suzanne Wilson of Livingston, Montana, Eric VanVlilt of Farley, Lea Bushman of Ft. Atkinson and Aaron Whittle of Decorah, a step-grandson, Keith Madison of Missoula, Montana and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 28, 1994 at Zalmona Presbyterian Church. Rev. Larry Olson officiated. Casket bearers were Neil Klocke, Leo Carter, Donald Snitker, Ronald Winkie, Roland Nagel and Virgil Opfer. Arrangements were made by Martin Funeral home of Waukon. Burial was in Zalmona Cemetery, Waukon.
