Death Mourned by Many Friends
The funeral of the late Wm. H. Robbins on Thursday afternoon last from his home in this city, drew a multitude of friends, all of whom were deeply grieved by the tragic ending of his life by electrocution at the sub-station at Lansing on the 15inst. Quite a number of his associates and fellow employees came from neighboring points, and their sadness was noticeable and expressive.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. VanNice, and the burial rites were in charge of the Masonic order, the attendance of members being unusually large with representatives from neighboring lodges.
Deceased was nearing his 46th year, having been born here in Waukon July 6, 1876 the youngest of three sons of Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Robbins, deceased. He was married to Miss Ella A. Cummins August 2, 1899, who with their son Teddy are almost disconsolate over the loss of their loved one. One brother Bert, is the surviving member of the family whom Waukon knew so well in years gone by.
The bereaved family circle join in an expression of the deepest gratitude to the many friends for their tender sympathy and kindly deeds which have soothed and helped them to bear their burden and consoled them in their sorrow.Democrat
