Elmer Lawson Passes At Waukon Hospital

Elmer Lawson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Lawson, was born January 4th, 1884, and passed away at the Waukon hospital February 6th, 1937, at the age of fifty-three years, one month and two days, after a lingering illness.

He leaves to mourn his departure an aged mother and father, five brothers and three sisters: Fred Lawson, his twin brother; Sherman Lawson, Frank Lawson, Leonard Lawson, all of Postville; John Lawson of Harshaw, Wisconsin; Mrs. Fred Segrist of Postville; Mrs. Louie Peterson of Waukon; Mrs. Mike Webber of Cedar Rapids, and a host of other relatives and friends.

His entire life has been spent on the home farm in Franklin township with his father, mother, and a nephew, Clifford, who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were held here on Tuesday afternoon from the Community Presbyterian church, with the Rev. L. E. Crippen officiating, and interment was made in the Postville cemetery.
