Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. September 21 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville for Gary Lynn Lubka who died at his home, rural Waukon, September 18. The Rev. Norris C. Swenson officiated.

Born June 15, 1959 at Waukon, he was the son of Merle and Marie Colsch Lubka. He was baptized July 5, 1959 by the Rev. Charles Witt and confirmed April 27, 1975 by the Rev. Norman Ullestad. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville.

He had lived in the Volney, Waterville and Waukon, Iowa areas. He attended Allamakee Community Schools at Waukon.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents and his maternal grandfather.

He is survived by his parents of rural Waukon; two brothers, Leland of Ames and Reggie at home, a sister, Mrs. Jim (Connie) Rabe and niece, Stacie Ann Rabe of DeWitt; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Anna Colsch, Waukon, several uncles, aunts and cousins.

Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.

Postville, Iowa newspaper of the time clipping, hand dated 1977, from my mother's obituary collection. Mother's hand written date is very faded and hard to read but I think it says 1977.
