Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie Fitzpatrick were held Thursday, February 24, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church at Postville, Iowa. The Rev. Robert Hupp officiated. Casket bearers were Kelly Livingood, Cyril Livingood, Francis Livingood, Nick Polfer, Milton Kirkestue and Kendall Beisker. The Schutte Funeral and Cremation Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Jessie A. Fitzpatrick, the daughter of William and Anna (Dabelstein) Beisker, was born March 22, 1904 on a farm in Allamakee County near Postville, Iowa. She passed away Monday, February 21, 2000 in the Good Samaritan Center at Postville, Iowa. She had reached the age of 95 years, ten months and 29 days.

She was baptized June 25, 1904 by the Rev. P. E. Bockleman and confirmed January 26, 1945 by Frederick R. Ludwig in the St. Paul Lutheran Church at Postville. Jessie attended the rural schools near her home.

She married Raymond J. Fitzpatrick of Ossian, IA who preceded her in death as did her son, Robert L. Fitzpatrick on May 11, 1997, and her four sisters: Anna Henry, Emma Livingood, Amanda Livingood, Selma Kirkestue and two brothers, George Beisker and Bill Beisker.

Jessie is survived by her daughter-in-law, Frances Fitzpatrick, of Postville, three grandchildren: Bonnie (James) Moellers of Postville, Rae Ann (Dan) Rochester of Cedar Rapids, IA and Mike Fitzpatrick of Clive; nine great grandchildren: Tami (Clayton) Harms, James D. Moellers, Richard Moellers, Daniel Moellers, Heather Natalzia, Grant Schultz, Wendy Schultz, Paul Schultz, Scott Fitzpatrick; three great great grandchildren and a sister, Audrey Schroeder of Postville.

Jessie is best remembered to her family as a seamstress making clothing for the family. She also has been employed by several local businesses as a clerk, waitress or cook. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville.
