The Waukon Democrat of yesterday contains the sad intelligence of the death of A. Deremore, one of the early settlers of Allamakee county. He was in his 84th year, a native of Pennsylvania, and said by many to be one of the wealthiest men in the county. He leaves a wife and eight children--Samuel, of Washington; Alexander of Village Creek; Levi, of Volney; and Mrs. John Kassar, Mrs. Geo. Berrier, Mrs. Louis Goeke, Susanna and Douglas, of Waukon and vicinity. The funeral occurs at 2 o'clock this afternoon.

A. Deremore, a resident of Allama­kee Co. since 1855 and president of the Citizens State Bank of Waukon, died on the 18th inst. at the advanced age of 83 years.
