Funeral services for Mrs. Stella Laffan, 85, Waukon, were held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church Saturday with Father Edward Lechtenberg and Father Bernard Grady concelebrating the Mass of Resurrection.

Mrs. Laffan died at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home last Wednesday.

She was born Sept. 26, 1900 to Patrick and Sarah (O'Haro) Brady She graduated from Waukon High School and St. Francis School of Nursing, LaCrosse. She was a Public Health Nurse at Winterset and later ran a nursing home in Waukon. She was active in Woman's Relief Corps, Veterans of Foreign Wars, political organizations and church groups.

Her husband, Patrick Laffan, died in 1954.

Also preceding her in death was her sister Celia Tepesch, brothers, Tom, Leo and George Brady. Burial was in Cedar Rapids cemetery, where her husband is buried.
