New Albin GI Dies in Vietnam

New Albin - Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lampert, who farm near here, received word Monday that their son, Pfc. Arlyn Lambert, 20, died in Vietnam Dec. 12 of wounds he received ten days earlier at Cu Chi. Pfc. Lampert suffered internal injuries when a booby trap exploded.

A 1967 New Caledonia high school graduate, Lampert was drafted into the army Feb. 26, 1969, and went to Vietnam July 31, where he served with the 25th infantry division.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Charles, who recently returned from Vietnam duty, and Howard, at home. Services will be held in the United Peace Church of Christ at a time to be announced.
