Mrs. Hazel A. Hickey

Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel A. Hickey, 59, of 810 West 2nd street will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at sacred Heart Catholic church with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

She died at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday at Schoitz Memorial Hospital of cancer.

She was born on September 29, 1914, in Waukon, the daughter of Daniel and Emma Nelson Kaeser. She was married to Donald J. Hickey on May 2, 1934 in Galena, Illinois. They operated Hickey's Restaurant for 20 years. She was recently employed at Vandafood Company.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Daniel Kaeser, 144 West Donald Street; a daughter, Mrs. Richard Clabby, 1627 Plymouth Avenue; a sister, Mrs. Kermit Feuerhelm, 136 West Donald Street; and two brothers, Lester Kaeser, West Branch and Harold Kaeser, Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband.

A scripture service will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home. Friends may donate to the American Cancer Society in her name.

Note: also preceding in death were her son, James Hickey; father, Daniel Kaeser; and brother, Floyd Kaeser.
