Andrew Reuss, who for a number of years past has been an employee at the elevator of Hall Roberts' Son, passed away at his home in this city about one o'clock this morning after a few days serious illness, he having recently been operated at a Dubuque hospital. Mr. Reuss was born in Germany, Nov. 2, 1870, and at the time of his death was aged 47 years, 9 months and 20 days. He leaves a wife and five small children, who have the sympathy of all in their affliction. The funeral will be held from the home Saturday morning at ten o'clock.

Obituary.
John Andrew Reuss was born in West Aurick, Germany, on November second, 1870. He came to America when nineteen years old and settled in Monona township in October 1889. He became an American citizen in 1901. He and Clara Lorena Elmore were married on November fifth, 1907. To them were born seven children, two of whom proceeded their father into the eternal world. Mr. Reuss was a member of Postville Congregational church and a firm believer in Jesus Christ. He was possessed of man of many good qualities and had many friends. He passed away on August 22nd, aged forty seven years, nine months and twenty one days, leaving a wife and five children to mourn his decease. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.F. Childress in the Congregational church, Saturday, August 24th at 10 a.m. Interment in Postville cemetery.
