Frances Grady
Mrs. Raymond Grady, a McGregor resident, died July 23 at Prairie Living Center, McGregor. She was 73.
Frances Ambrose Grady was born February 28, 1916 to John and Frances Freschman Ambrose of Monona.
She attended Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls and taught in Allamakee and Clayton County Schools.
On March 18, 1937 she and Raymond Grady were married. They farmed in the McGregor area.
Funeral rites were conducted by Father Donald Hutchinson and Father Bernard Grady at St. Mary's Catholic Church, MrGregor on Thursday, July 27. Interment was in the St. Patrick's Cemetery, Monona.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond, one daughter, Mary, McGregor; 2 brothers, Vincent Ambrose, Monona and Andrew Ambrose, Waterloo; and a sister, Agnes Schmidt, Waterloo.
Preceding her in death were 2 sons, Lawrence and James.
Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home, McGregor was in charge of arrangements.
