Roger Pearson Services

Funeral services for Roger Pearson were held Thursday, September 11, 1980, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. The Reverend Julius L. Peterson officiated. The Schutte Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery. Casket bearers were: Kenneth Koth, Kenneth Hellum, George Burger, Harold Panncke, Milton Schierholz, and Charles Schutte.

Roger Orville Pearson, son of Lloyd and Grace (Hinman) Pearson, was born September 12, 1916 in Clayton county, Iowa. He passed away September 8, 1980, at his home in Postville at the age of 63 years.

He was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul Lutheran Church. He received his education at the Luana Consolidated School.

On June 8, 1938 he was united in marriage to Bernice Moon. To this union two daughters were born. They farmed in the Luana area most of their lives.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Janice) Grout and Mrs. Lyle (Judy) Boebel, both of Marion, Iowa; three grandsons, Mark Graybill, Larry and James Boebel; a brother, Ralph Pearson of Postville; a nephew, Rick Pearson of Monona; and an uncle, Leonard Pearson. He is preceded in death by his parents.
