Memorial services for Ethel Mae Jahncke Pearson were held Saturday, August 13, 1988 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. Rev. Charles Miller officiated. Schutte Funeral Service, Postville, was in charge of arrangements. Inurnment was in the Postville Cemetery.

Ethel Mae Pearson, daughter of Frederick W. and Floy M. (Candee) Jahncke, was born May 19, 1922 in Post Township, Allamakee County. She died August 7, 1988 in Swedish Covenant Hospital, Chicago, Illinois.

She graduated from the Postville Community Schools in 1939. March 14, 1942 she married Herbert Pearson at Chicago, Illinois. The couple had one son, Richard. She, along with her husband, was employed at a photographic studio for more than 30 years prior to their retirement in 1978.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald Jahncke.

Surviving are her husband, Herbert, a son, Richard and his wife, Corinne, all of Chicago, and a brother, Elbert Jahncke of Postville.

Mrs. Pearson and her husband were members of the Chicago Rock and Mineral Society.
