The Late Mrs. William Snitker
The death of Mrs. Wm. Snitker occurred at her home in Frankville township, Winneshiek county on Feb. 16, 1925, at the age of 35 years, her demise being due to pneumonia, following a week's illness.
Deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grotegut, her maiden name being Miss Martha Grotegut. She was born Sept. 19, 1890. On October 10, 1910, she was united in marriage with William Snitker. Eight children were born to this union, of whom two died in early infancy. She is survived by her husband and six daughter: Lillian 13 years old, Ruth 9, Stella 6, Hulda 4, Evangeline 3 and Viola 2 months old. She leaves also her parents, four sisters, Mrs. Emma Henning of Ludlow, Mrs. Liddy Lundt, Frankville; Mrs. Mary Hermann, Ludlow, and Mabel Grotegut at home, and three brothers, John, Simon, and Albert Grotegut, all of Frankville township, who have the heartfelt sympathy of all in their great sorrow.
Funeral services were held Thursday from the late home of deceased and later at the Reformed Salem church in Ludlow, conducted by Rev. Stuebbe, with burial in the cemetery nearby. The funeral was one of the largest ever held at the church which was more than filled to its capacity.Democrat
