Charles Magnusson Passes Thursady Morning after Four Month Illness

Charles Magnusson passed away early Thursday morning at his home after a four months' illness, at the age of 58 years.
Charles Magnusson was born March 19, 1879, at Lansing, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Magnusson. He received his education in the Lansing schools, Thirty-three years ago this month he married Miss Lettie Smith at Lansing. They lived in Chicago for several years, coming to Waukon in 1914 to make their home. One son, Harlan, was born to this union.
Mr. Magnusson was employed in the men's clothing department of Lee Brothers store for a number of years, after which he worked for R. J. Alexander and the B. & B. Store, later continuing in the same line of work for the Don Klinkel Clothing Company. He gave up this last position in May because of poor health.
He was a member of the Masonic and Yeomen lodges.
He leaves to mourn his death his wife, one son, Harlan, of Chicago, five brothers, and one sister, Alfred, Hermann, and Mrs. Frank Dolphin , of Lansing, Arthur of Malcolm, Albert of Arcola, Illinois, and Walter of Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 from the home Saturday afternoon, under the auspices of the Masonic Order, with final Masonic rites at the grave. Mr. Magnusson was buried in Oak Hill cementery in Lansing.
The casket bearers were: Charles Colsch, Dennis Duggan, Boyd Smith, Horace Howe, Frank Hausman and John Griebel.
