Elias Schneider Funeral Sunday

The funeral of Elias Schneider was held at 1:30 Sunday from First Presbyterian Church in Waukon. The Rev. William Tjaden officiated and Martin's was in charge.

Pallbearers were Clarence Haas, Robert Wurtzell, Jess Uhl, Oscar Roldson, and George Gilbertson.

Elias Jacob Schneider was born Nov.22, 1884 in Allamakee County, son of Jacob and Margaret Shafer Schneider. He had always resided in the county and was a Waukon resident the past 10 years.

In poor health for some time, Mr. Schneider died Thursday.

He was educated in the local schools and had been a farmer. He and Martha Kaeser were married by the Rev. Mr. VanNice in Waukon in 1908. She preceded him in death Nov.30, 1945.

The children are Ray Schneider of Waukon, Mrs. James (Cleoma) Smith of Racine, Wis., Lloyd Schneider of Waukon, Mrs. Russell (Ruth) Solberg of Aurora, Ill., and Paul Schneider of Waukon.

John Schneider of Waukon, a brother, also remains, and there are eight grandchildren.

Mr. Schneider was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
