Kenneth R. Anderson, 68, of Waukon, a loving husband, father and grandfather, died Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Funeral services were held Sunday, December 6 at Center Baptist Church in Lansing, with Rev. Duane Smith officiating. Burial was at Center Baptist Cemetery, Lansing.

Kenneth Robert Anderson was born April 28, 1941 in Decorah, the son of Robert S. and Melvina C. (Grangaard) Anderson. He was baptized at the age of eight at Center Baptist Church in rural Lansing and attended elementary school in rural Center Township and graduated from Waukon High School in 1959.

Kenny married his best friend and soul mate, Mary L. Moritz, June 8, 1963 at Zion United church of Christ in Waukon. They farmed together in rural Waterville, where they operated a dairy herd and raised grain. Kenny and Mary moved to Rock Island, IL, where he worked for International Harvester. They later moved back to Waukon, where they started farming again. Kenny went to work for Northern Engraving as a foreman in Lansing for several years. At the time of his death, he was self employed as owner of Ken’s Tax Service and he also drove school bus for Allamakee Community School District.
Kenny was a member of Center Baptist Church. He collected farm toys and racing memorabilia, was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and great-grandsons.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Anderson of Waukon; three daughters, Michelle (Abe Leis) Kurth of Holmen, WI, Vicki (Rich) Bannen of Eastman, WI and Dawn (Tom) Fish of Red Wing, MN; six grandsons; two great-grandsons; three brothers, Richard (Karen) Anderson of Davenport, Gerald (Althea) Anderson of Cedar Rapids and David (Darla) Anderson Hudson, IL; his mother-in-law, Donna (Ken) Radloff of Farmersburg; two brothers-in-law, Dave (Diana) Moritz and Paul (Deb Darling) Moritz, both of Lansing; and a sister-in-law, Kathy (Jim Granlund) Beardmore of Alexandria, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Honorary casketbearers were Richard, Gerald and David Anderson, Michael and Masen Fish. Casketbearers were Dan, Darren and Derrick Anderson, Jordan Kurth, Abe Leis, Rich Bannen, Tom Fish, and Dave and Paul Moritz.
