Donald J. Henry, age 73, of Waukon died Friday, November 27, 2009 at Northgate Care Center in Waukon. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 2 at 10 a.m. at Hanson Funeral Home in Waukon, with Fr. Bernard Grady officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Lycurgus Cemetery, rural Waukon. Visitation will be from 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 1 at Hanson Funeral Home in Waukon.

Donald was born September 28, 1936 in Waukon to Leo E. and Sarah A. (Brady) Henry. After high school graduation, he served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956-1960, being stationed in Japan and Maine. He worked as an electrician, and lived mostly in Dallas, TX, with the exception of the last five years in Waukon. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon.

Survivors include his siblings, Bernice Tucker of Vancouver, WA, Rita Eulberg of Garnavillo, Patrick, Mark and Ralph Henry of Waukon, Dorothy Egan of Gladstone, OR, Regina Henry of Evanston, IL, and Clement Henry of Marion. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Evelyn and Anna, who died in infancy.
