Calvin Anton Kostman, 50, of Waterloo, died Monday, March 26 in Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. He was a former Postville area resident.

Calvin Kostman was born July 1, 1928 in Allamakee County to John and Martha (Nolting) Kostman. He married Carol Fettkether in Waterloo. on June 13, 1953. He was a graduate of Postville High School, a carpenter and a member of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. He served in the armed forces during the Korean war.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. LaVern (Deborah) Engelhardt, Monona; three sons, Dean, John and Robert, all of Waterloo; three grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. William (Marian) Bryan, New Hampton.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert and two sisters, Joan and Norma.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 29, 1:30 p.m. at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Roger Hawthorne officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Martin Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
