McGeough Rites Held Monday

Margaret L. McGeough, 87, Waterville, died Thursday, Dec 15 at the Good Samaritan Center, Waukon. Last rites were held Monday Dec 19 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Pius Catholic Church, Cherry Mound, with the Rev. Robert Hirsch officiating. Burial was in church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Pat Burke, Mark Jacobson, Perry Norton, Paul Norton, Bob McDonnell and Cletus Rooney.

She was born August 14, 1890 in Waukon, the daughter of Frank and Katherine Cassidy Moore. She married John McGeough Oct 28, 1913 in Waukon. He preceded her in death Aug 16, 1972.

Surviving are a son John of Las Vegas, NV, three daughters, Mrs. Mercedes Burke of Lansing, Mrs. Dick (Gertrude) Williams of Osage and Mrs. Carlton (Loretta) Jacobson of Waterville, 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Three brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death. Burke-Thornburg funeral home, Lansing, was in charge of arrangements.
