Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Preston, Minnesota, for Arnold Klemme, former Postville resident, who passed away following a heart attack at his home on September 5, 1958 at Preston, Minnesota. He had been in ill health for the last three years. Burial was in the Postville cemetery.
Arnold Otto William Klemme was born December 25, 1910 at Postville, the son of Dora Brockmeyer Klemme and Theodore Klemme. He was baptized and confirmed in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Postville.
He attended the Woodland country school. His entire life was lived in the Postville area until in November, 1954 he and his family moved to a farm near Preston, Minnesota, where he lived until his death.
He was united in marriage to Miss Darlene Elaine Matzen in Blair, Nebraska on January 28, 1942. To this union were born two children, a daughter, Eileen Janet, and a son, Keith Arnold. Also surviving are two brothers, Emil of Stevens Point, Wisconsin and Leslie of Postville; one sister, Mrs. Mildred Martens of Oelwein.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
