Beverly Hitner, age 67, of Waukon died Friday, September 25, 2009 at Gundersen-Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, WI. Services were held Monday, September 28 at Hanson Funeral Home in Waukon, with burial in the Rossville Cemetery. Casketbearers were friends of the family.

Beverly was born April 7, 1942 in Monona to Fredrick and Sylvia (Sawvell) Huckstadt. She married Howard Hitner November 25, 1960 at the Lutheran Church in Waukon, and they made their home in Waukon. Beverly enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafts and reading.

Survivors include her children, John Hitner, Sandy Hitner Howes, and Cindy Hitner Johll, all of Waukon; and two grandchildren, Johnathan Hitner and Jeannie Johll, both of Waukon. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one infant sister.
