John Leigh Ramer

John Leigh Ramer, 43, of Lees Summit, MO died Friday, August 7, 2009 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Harpers Ferry. A time of remembrance and sharing was held Tuesday, August 11 from 4-8 p.m. at Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home in Lansing. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 14 at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW Third Street in Lees Summit, MO. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Skidmore, MO.

John was born August 30, 1965 in Roseville, CA to John and Judy (Dawson) Hunt. He was a member of Iron Workers Local 10 in Kansas City, MO for 10 years. John has worked as a boiler maker for the past two years, in Sibley, MO and most recently in Lansing, and was a member of Local 83 in Kansas City. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.

John was a boiler maker working on a job at the power plant in Lansing.

He is survived by his fiancée, Jennifer Bjerkaas of Lansing; his parents, Judy (Bill) Euwer of Lees Summit, MO; sisters Nichole Ramer-Nissen of Kansas City, KS, Casey Robertson of Kearney, MO, and Renda Duncan of Excelsior Springs, MO; brother Tavish Euwer of Platte City, MO; four nieces; six nephews; and uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his birth father, John Hunt.
