Services For Cora Gilbertson

Funeral services for Cora S. Gilbertson, 89, Waukon, were held Saturday, March 25 at 11 a.m. from Old West Paint Creek Church, rural Waukon. The Rev. Paul Tobiason officiated, and burial was in the church cemetery. She died Wednesday March 22 at her home.
She was born April 16, 1888 in Allamakee County, a daughter of Hans and Guri Sanderson Fossum. She and Arthur Gilbertson were married September 27, 1922 in Old West Paint Creek church. He survives with the following children: The Rev. Gaylen Gilbertson, Thomasbore, IL; Emily Gilbertson of Waukon, and Walter Gilbertson of Winona, MN. A son Harry is deceased.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Bella Bergh of Waukon. Deceased brothers and sisters are Albert, Emma, Susanna, Beatha, Tilda, Theodore, Henry, Otto, and Adolph.
Casket bearers were Bud Fossum, Virgil Reetz, Loren Gilbertson, James Gilbertson, Burnell Sorum, and Arlyn Fossum.
Martin funeral home of Waukon was in charge of arrangements.
