Funeral of Mrs. Harris
The funeral of Mrs. W.H. Harris, who died Thursday morning, was held at the home of her mother, Mrs. J.C. Taylor, three miles west of Emporia, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. J.A. Wollam conducted the services, assisted by Rev. J.H.J. Rice, of Emporia, and Rev. C.R. Choat, of Lawrence. The singers were Misses Lena Reynolds, Gladys Davis, Mrs. John Wiley, and Mrs. Ora Thompson. The pall-bearers were W.H. Caldwell, Claud Grant, Edmund Kulander, Charles Mayes, and A.B. Wood. Interment was made in Maplewood Cemetery.

Mrs. Harris's maiden name was Nova Zembla Taylor. She was born in Postville, Iowa, in 1875, and came to Kansas in 1888. She was married to William H. Harris in 1892. She joined the Friends church in 1892 and was a faithful adherent to its principles during her life. she was a devoted daughter and a kind and loving wife and mother. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. J.C. Taylor, who lives three miles west of Emporia; her husband, and three children, Miss Gladys Harris, and Wallace and Wilfred Harris, who live with their father in Lawrence.
