Funeral services for Dorothy A. Borseth, 56, Decorah, were held Friday, June 10, 1 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, Decorah. Rev. Glenn Kappelman officiated. Interment was in the Lutheran Cemetery. Sensor-French Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy Anna Althouse Borseth, daughter of Henry and Martha [Bechtel] Althouse was born April 20, 1932 at Postville, Iowa. She died Tuesday, June 7, 1988 at Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital.

She received her education at the Postville Public Schools. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Decorah and was also a member of the Carry-On-Club and Farm Bureau Women's organization.

On February 28, 1954 she married Norman Borseth at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. The couple had one daughter and 2 sons. They farmed in Springfield Township before moving to Decorah in 1987.

Preceding her in death were 2 sons: Wayne in infancy, Gary in 1963.

Survivors include her husband, Norman, a daughter, Ann Borseth, Decorah, her mother, Martha Althouse and a brother, Leonard Althouse, Postville.

Pallbearers were David, James and John Lensch, Randy and Stephen Althouse and Scott Brown.

Dorothy A. Borseth, 56, died Tuesday in the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital of cancer. Survivors include her husband, Norman; a daughter, Ann of Decorah; her mother, Martha Althouse, and a brother, Leonard Althouse, both of Postville. Services: 1 p.m. Friday, First Lutheran Church. Burial Lutheran Cemetery, Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Sensor-French’s and at the church an hour before services.
