The body of Mr. August Naumer, who on November 20, last, with Ada Stoll and Karl Loos, started across Two Mile bay, north of Oshkosh, in a hunting skiff, was found some distance from where embarkation took place. This is taken as proof of the drowning of the whole party, says a Wisconsin dispatch. The parents of one of the unfortunate victims, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Loos, reside in this city, and the above would seem to settle the fate of their son who has been missing since the above date.
Since writing the above, a telegram from Oshkosh to Mr. Loos announced that the remains of his son had also been found and that they would be forwarded here for burial. The body is expected to arrive to-day and the funeral takes place direct from the train. While this renews the sorrow and enkindles afresh the anguish of the sad event, it is nevertheless a consolation to know that his ashes will be at rest beneath the pines in peaceful, beautiful Oak Hill.
This is the second son that has met an untimely death and been brought home to the aged parents, and they certainly have the deep and heartfelt sympathy of the community in the heavy affliction that has been laid upon them. -- Allamakee Journal

Notes: Woodmansee records the burials of Carl Ioos, August Naumer and Ada Stoll as buried in Oak Hill cemetery. For the latter two, this is incorrect. A newspaper clipping from the 'Daily Northwestern', Oshkosh, WI posted on Find a Grave states Ada, age 12, is buried in Riverside cemetery, Oshkosh. Her parents are not named. The article also states that the victims were Mrs. August Naumer and Karl Ioos. Riverside cemetery also records the April 1905 burial of Alma (Stoll) Naumer, likely Mrs. August Naumer. The Wisconsin marriage index records the marriage of Alma Rosa Vina Stoll to August Naumer on Dec 31, 1903, and Wisconsin Death index gives DOD of Alma Naumer as 11/25/1904 (both indexes on ancestry.com)
