Evelyn L. Wohlers, 67, formerly of New Albin, died suddenly Monday, May 18, 2009 in San Antonio, TX. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 26 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery New Albin.

Evelyn was born June 4, 1941 in LaCrosse, WI to Leon "Pete" and Pat May. She relocated to Texas from Bloomington, MN and worked with Northwest Airlines at the San Antonio Airport for over 12 years.

Evie is survived by her three loving children, Peter (Dana) Scanlan; Patti (Scott) Scanlan, and Tom (Kim) Wohlers; grandchildren Shaunalee, Christopher, and Patrick; great-granddaughter Melanie May; sisters Margaret Van Heel and Mary Nummerador; her beloved "Smokey"; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved Chow, "Jokie".

Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home in Lansing assisted the family.
