SMITH, BELLOWS, SHERIFF

Beautiful tribute was paid to Mrs. Frank Smith, who passed away June 22, by her pastor, Rev. Fr. J.P. DeMuth at the funeral services at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church Thursday morning of last week.

Mrs. Maybel Bellows, was born March 16, 1900, at Hayfield, MN. She was a daughter of of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bellows, Her mother preceded her in death at a tender age.

She was united in marriage to Frank Smith on Dec. 12, 1922, at Tama, IA. To this union, four children were born, Myrtle 6, Vernon 4, Leslie 3, and Vivian 9 months.

The family lived in Des Moines until four years ago when they moved to a farm near Buffalo Center. She passed away at the hospital in Mason City following a lingering illness and operation. She leavves (sic) to mourn her untimely death besides the husband and children mentioned, her father, stepmother, four sisters and three brothers.

The following relatives were here for the funeral from out of the territory.

Nierling and sons of Church, Iowa; Mrs. C.H. Tane, Waukon, Iowa; Mrs. Fred Buntrock, Cresco, Iowa; Mrs. John Maus, Church, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. John Smith, Sumner, Iowa; Bob Smith, Marshalltown, IA; Mr. and Mrs. F.A. Roth, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stone, Waukon, IA.
