Funeral services were held Wednesday of last week at the East paint creek Lutheran church for Mrs. Mary Johnson, whose death took place Monday at the county home, where she had been cared for eighteen years.

Waukon, Ia., Oct 24 - Burial services were held at the East Paint Creek cemetery Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Mary Engebretson Johnson who died in Makee township Monday afternoon, she having resided there the past eighteen years.

She was born in Norway about 85 years ago and came to this country with her parents when quite young.

She is the last of the family, she having no surviving relatives here, only a niece, Mrs. Frank Gopel, of Round Prairie.
