Patrick M. Sweeney

Patrick M. Sweeney, 78, of Lansing died Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Aase Haugen Home in Decorah. Services will be held at a later date.

Patrick was born December 20, 1930 in Lansing to William and Alice (Williams) Sweeney. He served in the Navy from 1951 to 1954. He attended four years of college and then worked for the U.S. Government in foreign service until 1963. He owned and operated a tavern in Lansing until he sold the business. He later went to work at Northern Engraving and worked there until his retirement.

He is survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church or to Aase Haugen Home.

The Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home in Lansing assisted the family.
