SPRING GROVE, Minn. (Special) — Norval Oliver Strinmoen, 50, Dorchester, Iowa, died unexpectedly at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Gerhart Clauson farm, rural Spring Grove. A farmer, he was born Sept. 19, 1921, in Winneshiek County, Iowa, to Benard and Ruby Flatberg Strinmoen and was a lifelong area resident, never marrying. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 249, Spring Grove, and the Waterloo Ridge Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his father, Dorchester, a brother, Floyd, Spring Grove, and two sisters, Mrs. Crystal Eddy, Spring Grove, and Mrs. Charles L. (Stella) Egland, Houston, Minn. His mother has died.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Waterloo Ridge Lutheran Church, the Rev. E. J. Nesset officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday afternoon, until Friday morning at the Engell-Roble Funeral Home here and at the church an hour before service.From The Daily News (Winona, Minnesota)
