MRS. LUCY STONE

Newhouse Officiates
at Funeral Services
of Postville Woman

POSTVILLE—Mrs. Lucy Stone, 75, pioneer Postville resident, died early Tuesday morning at the home of her son, Harold, here and funeral services were held Thursday afternoon in the Schutte funeral home.
The Rev. L. H, Newhouse, pastor of the Community Presbyterian church, officiated and burial was in the Postville cemetery.
She was born here July 22, 1866, the daughter of Hannibal and Julia Stone, who came to North Iowa, from Vermont. Receiving her education here, she was assistant postmaster prior to her marriage to E. S, Stone.
On Mr. Stone's retirement from the hardware business here a number of years ago, they lived for a while in Daytona Beach, Fla. Mr. Stone died seven years ago and in recent years Mrs. Stone had been making her home here with her son who survives in addition to a granddaughter, Catherine of Milwaukee, Wis,
