William H. Wiemerslage

CALEDONIA, Minn. (Special) — William H. Wiemerslage, 82, Caledonia, died at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Caledonia Community Hospital after a long illness.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Wiemerslage, he was born in Allamakee County, Iowa, Jan. 20,1889. He married Hulda Meyer in Winnebago Township, Fillmore County, May 2, 1917. They have lived at Caledonia where he was a self-employed painter and interior decorator, and for 16 years was maintenance man at the Caledonia Public School.
He was a member of the Caledonia volunteer fire department 17 years.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, Melvin, St. Louis Park Minn., and Glenn, La Crosse; one daughter, Mrs. Sever (Bernice) Amundrud, La Crosse; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Henry, Caledonia, and five sisters. Mrs. Louis (Selma) Bucholtz Eilzen, Mrs. Walter (Emma) Paus, New Albin, Iowa, Mrs. William (Leona) Paus, Eau Claire, Wis., Mrs. Alma Fetsch, Van Nuys, Calif., and Mrs. F. A. (Edna) Duxbury, St. Paul. One brother and one sister have died.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Kenneth M. Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Friends may call at the Potter-Haugen Funeral Home Friday afternoon and evening and at the church Saturday from 1 p.m.
